Natural Selection and a Lesson in Survival
this is living
this is the how and why of
the world moving
in a rush
imperceptible
and all around us--we are in it
revelling in immortal sins
glorifying war
gorifying lust
agoraphobic cities
teeming with black bodies
twisting faces
albino eyes, broken fingers
fists rosey with knuckles bruised
from fits of living,
passionate rage
lips bleeding
mouthes open, sick
smiling
wet with blood
night rises
smother, suffocate
we suffer to sleep
in our frenzied slumber,
restless, turning,
convulsive closed-eye time
the overwhelming oppressive blankness
the hollow, muted mind
pierces endothermic hearts
like hypodermic needles
like pitch-perfect screaming
like accidental embers roasting naked flesh
catatonic
comatose
cold-curling
teeth clenched
eyes clamped shut
OPEN
in a field of bleeding poppies
in a field of burning puppies
in a pale, placid ocean
of moaning, fucking bodies
everywhere--
an orgasm
a bullet-hole
and bottles
lunatic insanity, mad profanity,
desperate, starving, desolate pathology
sing us lullabies and keep our hearts
beating
our eyes open and heads on forward, full
because to look behind would mean worse than--
this is living.

_______I'm A STAR
Before he came down here, it never snowed. And afterwards, it did. If he weren't up there now, I don't think it would be snowing. Sometimes you can still catch me dancing in it. Edward Scissorhands*
